Castmax CuCrZr (CW106C / C18150 / 2.1293 / Class II) is a specialized copper alloy containing chromium (Cr) and zirconium (Zr). This high-performance alloy combines exceptional electrical conductivity, good mechanical strength, and superior thermal stability in a single structure, making it a reliable material for various industrial applications.
CuCrZr is particularly preferred for resistance welding electrodes, mold systems, and conductive components operating at elevated temperatures, achieving RWMA Class II levels of hardness and conductivity. It offers high efficiency, low deformation, and long service life.
Technical Advantages:
- High electrical conductivity (75–85% IACS)
- Increased hardness and strength after heat treatment
- High resistance to thermal fatigue and wear
- Stable structure and low deformation at high temperatures
- Excellent machinability and weldability
- Maintains performance during long-term and heavy-duty use
Main Application Areas:
Resistance Welding: Spot and seam welding electrodes, pressure tips
Mold Making: Cooling cores in plastic injection molds, hot runner system components
Electrical & Energy: High-current conducting components, terminal elements
Defense & Aerospace: High-performance parts requiring advanced thermal management
Automotive & White Goods: Welding machine components, heat treatment furnace parts
Quality Assurance and Standards:
The CuCrZr alloy is fully compliant with CW106C (EN), C18150 (UNS), 2.1293 (DIN), and RWMA Class II standards.
Production and quality control processes are carried out in accordance with international norms.
All shipments are supplied with material analysis reports, mechanical test results, and full traceability documentation.
